I lost all data from computer due to viruses, and lost the software for my canon power shot A540. Is there somewhere I can download the software online?

You don’t need the software. You can use a card reader, open in MyComputer and copy/paste from the card to your pictures file.
OR
Just plug your camera to your pc with your USB cord and put it in playback mode, windows should auto detect it, box will come up asking what program to use. Or, if you use Vista, Windows Photo Gallery will auto download and save all your pics in it.
I have the canon A570IS. I have never used the software.
